The Brick & Beam Society, an individual giving group of United Way of Greater Portland, is pleased to request proposals to advance their work in the community. The Brick & Beam Society takes a broad view of the community, bringing leaders together and building momentum for action. Brick & Beam is aligned with Thrive 2027’s Community-Wide Goals and United Way of Greater Portland. 

Description of Opportunity: Brick & Beam seeks proposals for summer-focused programs/projects that are short-term/immediate. Proposals should target early childhood learning and/or STEM programming, and support high need populations birth through 8th grade. Brick & Beam supports projects that are high-impact, sustainable and replicable and approaches that are innovative, holistic and collaborative. 

Brick & Beam is open to funding new programs as well as previously funded. 

Amount: $20,000 or less 

Funding Period: One year, starting on award of grant funding, unless otherwise noted

Deadline for Submission: January 31, 2020
